The Kick-Ass Chicks class hasn’t had the greatest start to the year – first the holidays, the floods, and then Australia Day! But the good news is we are back on tonight at 6.15pm.
What is Kick-Ass Chicks?
The program was developed to cater for women who were bored with the usual gym workouts but still wanted to lose weight and get fitter. The class use traditional karate techniques but with a higher intensity, plus bootcamp drills and interval training so you get a whole body workout.
Here is an example of some of the exercises and drills in a typical Kick-Ass Chicks class :
5-10 Minutes – Warm up and stretching
10 – 20 Minutes – Basic strikes and kicks on the spot, moving forward, and on our punch and kick bags
10 – 20 Minutes – Interval training using punches, knees, kicks, and core workouts
10 – 20 Minutes – Circuit training working on all different muscle groups
5 – 10 Minutes – Warm down and stretching
Each class starts and ends with warming muscles and stretching to minimise injuries and sore bodies the next day. All karate techniques are taught correctly and purposefully from the start which means if you did decide to join in our Black Belt Karate course, you would have a good grounding on karate techniques.
We cater for ALL fitness levels!
The beauty of the Kick-Ass Chicks class is it caters for absolute beginners all the way up to karate veterans. The drills have been designed so you get the maximum output – the more you give, the more you get. You will see a fast progression in both fitness and quality of your techniques after only a few lessons.
