(Sensei Cheyne McMahon & Bob McMahon)

Chief Instructor Sensei Bob McMahon

Bob McMahon bas been teaching kids and adults karate since the early 1970′s in Queensland. He founded the Australian Karate Academy in 1989 and at its peak had over 1000 students training at more than 30 dojo around Australia.

  • 6th Dan Seito Karate Seitokukai
  • Former State, National and International Kumite champion
  • Over 40 years involved in karate, 35 years teaching
  • Author of karate booklets and founder of several karate internet forums
  • Former AKF Queensland Kumite Coach

 

Head Instructor Sensei Cheyne McMahon

Cheyne McMahon first started karate as a 5 year old under the tuition of his father, Bob. Cheyne has continued to train and teach and is about to celebrate his 25th year involved in karate.

  • Former State, National and International Kumite champion
  • 25 years involved in karate, 15 years teaching
  • Author of kumite book and kumite DVD
  • Current guest coach for Korean National Karate team
