Well, it has been almost three years since I have been to Korea. I am going there to catch up with my wife’s family, and also teach a couple of seminars. I am not sure what I will be teaching, they haven’t been too specific with the topics. I suggested I could teach –

Karate History

Old Style Karate Kata

Competition Kata and Kumite

Okinawan Kobudo (weapons) which include Bo, Tonfa, Sai, Kama, Nunchaku

Old Style two-man drills

Pressure Point Strikes

Joint Locks

I am note sure on what they will want to learn. There is the 5th Korean Open August, so maybe they will want to focus on competition karate. I actually won this competition in 2005 in kata and kumite, so I wonder if they will remember me?

We are flying out tomorrow (07/07/09) at 10:35am, so we need to get to the airport nice and early so I can request the emergency exit seats (for me knees…hehehehe). We are spending a night in Taipei, and will do a little sight seeing before boarding a flight on wednesday morning to Seoul. From Seoul we are catching a bullet train to Sunha’s family’s house in Busan (population 5 million).

Well that’s it for now as I have some more packing to do, and tonnes of emails to reply to. Thanks to those who emailed me well wishes, I promise I will get around to answering them! 🙂

Take care,
