In the coming weeks we have students representing the AKA in the following tournaments –

Queensland Karate League – this is a development league for juniors who are new to tournaments and aren’t quite ready for the big competitions. There are divisions for kata and kumite, but unlike regular tournaments there are round robin events, no medals given out, and everyone leaves more experienced. The AKA will have close to 20 junior competitors for this one, with quite a few experiencing their first karate tournament.

QKA State Titles – this is the best competitors Queensland has to offer, with the top athlete in each division representing Queensland at the AKF National titles in Adelaide in August. The AKA are only sending their top competitors from Team AKA.

As well as competitors, there are also judges, referees, and officials from the AKA who will be assisting. Without these volunteers, we would not be able to run tournaments!

There will be a LOT of photo’s and reports coming in the next few weeks!

Good luck to those competing!
